Overview
A 507K X2 in the RMSc footprint drops straight into the 43X MOS cut. You get a 32 MOA circle-dot, a 2 MOA dot, solar failsafe, and shake awake with a 50,000-hour runtime. It's the optic I recommend more than any other for people getting on the dot for the first time.
Why I chose this
I wanted an enclosed-adjacent reliability record at a price I could recommend to viewers without guilt. Nothing at $300 does more.
Real world performance
Zero has not moved in roughly 5,000 rounds including comp gas. Shake awake wakes instantly on the draw. Solar failsafe kept the reticle up when I intentionally ran a dead battery for a week.
Concealed carry impact
Adds about an ounce and roughly 0.95" of height. In AIWB the optic body is what catches on a cover garment when you sit — a holster with a proper optic channel and a slightly higher ride solves it.

Not marketing copy — carry experience
The circle-dot reticle is what actually made me fast, not the dot. Under stress your eye finds the 32 MOA ring long before it finds a 2 MOA dot, and the ring gives you a rough 7-yard hold that's forgiving of a sloppy presentation. I run the ring alone in daylight and switch to dot-only past 15 yards. Honest tradeoff: the glass has a faint blue cast and the window is small — if you have a wandering presentation, you'll hunt for the dot until your index is fixed. Spend the first 200 draws doing dry presentations against a wall, not shooting. Also: mine has never turned off unexpectedly in two years, but I still keep suppressor-height irons under it. Batteries are the one thing on a carry gun with a scheduled expiration.

Installation tips
- Degrease the mounting surface and the screws with brake cleaner before mounting.
- Blue Loctite 242 on the screws, 12 in-lbs, then let it cure 24 hours before shooting.
- Use the correct MOS plate/screw kit — the wrong screw length bottoms out and cracks housings.
- Confirm co-witness with suppressor-height sights before you zero.
Lessons learned
- Re-torque optic screws at the 500-round mark, then every cleaning.
- Change the battery on your birthday, not when the dot dies.
Mistakes to avoid
- Red Loctite. You will destroy the screws getting it back off.
- Zeroing at 25 when you'll defend yourself at 7 — zero at 10 or 15 yards.
- Skipping backup irons because 'the dot is reliable.'

The best first carry optic on the market. If you carry in rain or lint daily, spend the extra $60 on the EPS Carry instead.
